The Artist: M. Scott Hein (and the love of my life)

I have formal training, but not in art. This whole-from-the-pieces artform caught the eye of my soul in the midst of a semi-mid-life crisis. My first response to what I saw was, "Wow! That is really cool!" My second response was, "I think I can do stuff like that." At least I was eager to try it!
While I have no formal training, I have dabbled in sketching and watercolors, mostly in my younger days, before I had to grow up and do something 'responsible' with my life. Looking back, perhaps it was irresponsible to ignore the gifts and interests I was born with. I did what I thought was responsible, when in fact the responsible thing might have been to be "irresponsible."
I started working with this art form just to have a little fun, create something that appealed at least to one person, other than myself, and enjoy the rebirth of a part of my soul that was locked away for a couple of decades. Admittedly, this is a bit selfish, but I'm not taking it too seriously, if that makes a difference. If I get any good at it, maybe I'll come up with a more socially responsible motivation, and then again, maybe not.
Please visit once in awhile and feel free to drop me a line. I'd love to hear from you.
